Demonstration Sunday in park

.
The group Standing Women Global Village calls upon the people of the world, from day-old babies to the most senior elders to stand with us for peace and social justice.

Join others for five minutes of silence to honor future generations at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cameron Park, Fifth Avenue South and King Street in La Crosse. Show your agreement with the sentiments listed below. Afterward, collectively we can discuss these issues not only to create and be for this brief moment of silence, a world of hope — but of peace as well.
“We are standing for the world’s children and grandchildren, and for the seven generations beyond them.

“We dream of a world where all of our children have safe drinking water, clean air to breathe and enough food to eat.”
