It is especially wonderful to see all of the restaurants/bars offering smoke-free environments in honor of Mother’s Day this weekend so that families can enjoy meals, bowling and other activities without inhaling the harmful secondhand smoke or smelling horrible when they get home.
This is a great idea, especially for those of us with small children. We have a long way to go toward becoming a completely smoke-free state, but we have not given up the fight. When our government goes back in session in January, we will start where we left off.
With Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and now Michigan joining the ranks of the smoke-free states, we can’t let Wisconsin be left behind. Thank you again to the local establishments who see how important it is to provide clean air to the public and their employees.
