Man uses forklift to steal ATM in Ashwaubenon

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. — A man got inside Green Bay’s Resch Center, commandeered a forklift and used it to steal an automated teller machine.

Authorities say the man also tried to steal a sec

ond ATM, but it wouldn’t fit in his vehicle so he left it at the loading dock.

Capt. David Konrath of the Brown County Sheriff’s Department says the man entered the arena at 8:44 p.m. Sunday, using a service door and leaving no sign of forced entry.

He got

on a forklift and smashed through a glass door leading to the administrative area, then used it to pry the ATM from its mounting.

A maintenance worker discovered the incident at 6:25 a.m. Monday.
