" Looks like the alcohol task force was a WASTE of time. Try as you might to blame the bars and create a ghost town in downtown LaCrosse by cracking the whip on responsible legal drinkers (95%), responsible beverage servers (99%) and small business owners ALL in the name of stopping underage and binge drinkers, YOU STILL HAVE problems like this girls. Bruiser's got 2 tickets the first week they were open and they had NOTHING to do with the drownings! "

" someone who gets caught for hurting anyone while drinking, and driving should be banned from driving for life.. there is no excuses for it.. especially when most bars have a safe ride program, and they can ride for free, but even if u have to pay it is cheaper than a d.u.i, and taking someone's..i know this girl was only 17, and not old enough to drink, but they were old enough to take a cab.. someday they will get some brains!! " Replace "tree" with my son's father-in-law and "3:45 am" with 11 PM and you have an eerily similar drunk driving "accident" that has left him seriously physically impaired for life. When will these kids start to get it. This girl is very lucky she did not ruin someone's life and her own. The young woman who hit my son's father-in-law was convicted of two felonies and lost not only her significant college scholarships but also her potential career in medicine. Oh, and she served a year in prison. Somehow it did not seem to be enough for the damage she did. "
