Published - Monday, May 19, 2008 School board requests referendum recommendations La Crosse School Board members tonight asked the district's administration to draw up plans for potential fall referenda. They also requested a school consolidation proposal and a plan that outlines their options should they decide not to bring a referendum question to the voters, or if voters reject it. “I don’t think we can do nothing, because I couldn’t sleep at night ...” said Christine Clair, board president. “Not getting the money from the public means we have to cut programs ... or close buildings.” District administrators will present their findings at the July 7 board meeting.
