No drugs in Crawford County schools search

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. — A sweep of three Crawford County schools by drug-sniffing dogs Wednesday netted no illegal substances, Crawford County Sheriff Jerry Moran said.

Crawford County authorities used four drug dogs from Grant County, Clayton County (Iowa) and Prairie du Chien Police to search North Crawford, Seneca and Wauzeka school districts looking for drugs and other illegal substances, Moran said.

The dogs searched the various school buildings, lockers and vehicles.

Moran was pleased with the results but said additional searches might be done.
