Published - Thursday, July 03, 2008 Sex offender moving to Trempealeau County GALESVILLE, Wis. — The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department announced that a convicted sex offender will be moving to Galesville. Chad Schroeder, 35, will live at W20316 Meunier Road starting July 15. Schroeder has lived in La Crosse County since he was released from prison in 2006. He was convicted of third-degree sexual assault in 1991 in La Crosse County and of third-degree sexual assault in Wood County in 1992. The victims were between 12 and 15 years old. Schroeder will be under the supervision of the state Department of Corrections until September 2009 and is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Program. Schroeder is not wanted at this time, and the announcement is meant to inform and not create fear for any members of the public, according to the department.
