NTSB releases report on EAA AirVenture crash

OSHKOSH, Wis. — The National Transportation Safety Board says a deadly crash at EAA AirVenture last summer was partly due to a breakdown in communications between pilots.

A North Dakota pilot was killed in the plane crash last July at the experimental air show as he was attempting to land.

One war plane came down too close on top of another, clipping its tail and causing it to flip over. The other pilot did not suffer serious injuries.

The NTSB says the pilots' limited visibility also contributed to the crash.
