The following appeared in La Crosse County Circuit Court: ACCUSED
Gabriel J. Wilcox, 21, of 3531 Easter Road was charged Friday with false imprisonment, misdemeanor bail jumping and two counts each of strangulation or suffocation, misdemeanor battery and criminal trespass to dwelling. Wilcox is accused of choking, hitting and trying to suffocate a woman during two separate incidents July 18. He also is accused of breaking a window to enter a home in the 4800 block of South 33rd Street before the second disturbance, according to the criminal complaint. Rumeal Dwayne Campbell, 17, of Chicago, was charged Friday with delivery of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, both at or near a school or park, and obstructing an officer. Campbell is accused of selling crack cocaine to a police informant Monday at Gillette and Caledonia streets and throwing additional crack into a sewer catch basin near Rublee Street when police took him into custody, according to the criminal complaint. Kendall S. Whitman, 49, no permanent address, was charged Friday with stalking and possession of non-narcotic controlled substance. Whitman is accused of stalking a woman who works at a local hospital and had cared for him at a different facility in 1977, according to the criminal complaint. Michael J. Halverson, 42, of Medford, Wis., was charged Friday with fifth- or sixth-offense operating while intoxicated and with a prohibited alcohol concentration and first-offense operating after revocation. Halverson is accused of having a blood-alcohol level of 0.149 when he was stopped by the Wisconsin State Patrol early Thursday at Broadview Place and Mormon Coulee Road.Bradley A. Rasmussen, 35, of 1019 Redbird Court, was charged Friday with false imprisonment, battery and disorderly conduct. Rasmussen is accused of preventing a woman from leaving June 28 by pushing her into a closet and blocking the door. He is also accused of grabbing her by the back of the neck and pushing her onto a bed, according to a criminal complaint.
