Which then means that all eyes in Green Bay turn to Aaron Rodgers.
What do we know about Rodgers?
1. He is fragile. And that we learned in his short career as a backup. He broke his left foot in a game in November 2006, and then in December 2007 he pulled a hamstring in practice. So unless he has become much more durable in the past few months, Rodgers will be no threat to Favre’s record streak of starts.
2. He is thin-skinned. Even before all the will-Favre-or-won’t-Favre-return drama, Rodgers was wilting under the heat of the spotlight. He told “Sports Illustrated” that Packers fans need to support him or “keep their mouths shut.”
Nothing Rodgers has done yet has earned the kind of respect he is demanding. He isn’t Brett Favre. We all have to remember that.
