Second Street latest road closure
Second Street South from Division to Market streets in La Crosse will be closed to traffic beginning this morning for construction.
City Traffic Engineer Matt Gallager recommends Front and Division streets as alternate routes. On-street parking also will be restricted temporarily.
The road should reopen Sunday.
The far southbound lane of Copeland Avenue at Buchner Place and Causeway Boulevard is expected to reopen Friday. The road was closed Tuesday morning for water and sewer work.
The inside lanes of South Avenue, about 500 feet northwest of West Avenue, are still closed for sewer work. Gallager anticipates they will open to traffic Saturday.
