Sunny skies and highs heating up from 82 today to 85 Saturday, 87 Sunday and 89 Monday are in the forecast for the Labor Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The first time a chance of showers and thunderstorms returns to the forecast is Tuesday, the first day of classes for many Coulee Region schools, and even then it's only a slight chance, according to the weather service.
High Tuesday is forecast to be 84.
A chance of rain remains in the forecast for Wednesday before sunny skies return Thursday. Highs are expected to be in the upper 70s, with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s throughout the period.
