Jorgenson, a 2008 Logan High School graduate and two-time Tribune Girls Basketball Player of the Year, started in the Panthers’ 57-48 nonconference victory Saturday over Air Force.
The 6-foot-3 center played 15 minutes, scored four points on 2-for-7 shooting, and pulled down six rebounds (three offensive, three defensive) for the Panthers. She scored two of Milwaukee’s first three baskets, both coming on layups.
Jorgenson has seemingly caught the attention of Milwaukee coach Sandy Botham.
She’s averaging 17.3 minutes a game. She’s the Panthers’ second-leading rebounder at 5.3 a game, and she’s their fourth-leading scorer at 5.7 points a game.
The Panthers’ home opener is Wednesday against SIU-Edwardsville. They play at Northern Illinois on
Nov. 29, and take on Wisconsin on
Dec. 2 at the Kohl Center. That game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
