WARRENS, Wis. (AP) — The owner of a Warrens water park and campground has filed for bankruptcy two months after closing the recreational property.

Van Der Molen Recreational Properties filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Chicago on Nov. 26.

" And why did they put that skate park in 4 3 months or so a year of use time? I've heard of alot of people who have been 2 work parties on the lower end there where you pull in and they say it is great. Maybe the guy who owns the lower end can partner up with a big hotel chain and do something with the condo site? I guess the new casino might have a water park after all.I hope they stil do the river walk. "

" So the campground and all those people who have trailers on the lower end are OK RIGHT? We go there every summer and play goofy golf and swim.He sure had alot of condos in there to go belly up.I'm sure glad the lower end won't be affected. Some of us poor non condo people need a place to camp 2 you know. And they play bingo 4 candy bars, the kids just love that. "

" This is also urban renewal people my prediction is that a buyer will come along and buy it all up for about a 3rd of its value then it will be business as usual again when the economy bounces back while in the meantime there will be tax deferments deals and the value will continue to rise during that period millions will be forgiven and unpaid by the current LLC only to be replaced by the new owners LLC and the money will start piling up again and hey while its idle and vacant operating cost are at a bare minimum for upkeep and when you factor in all the defaulted loans and corporate welfare they will have made better money being closed then they would have in a poor economy. "

" Classic case of GREED !!! What was wrong with keeping it Yogi Bear's Campground and providing a cheap family campground, where all that went enjoyed it for what it was. A CAMPGROUND !!! Not an indoor waterpark/convention center/etc... Suits them right, but I feel bad for those that are out of work "
