CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (AP) — A 36-year-old Cadott man is believed to have sexually assaulted a woman in Marshfield and then went home and shot himself to death.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office said a 911 call came in Tuesday morning from a male caller, saying there was a woman at the Marshfield address who could not move and had a baby with her. The caller hung up, but the cell call had already been tracked to an area near Cadott.
About the same time, dispatchers in Wood County got a call from someone in Marshfield saying a woman next door was crying for help from her apartment.

According to sheriff's officials, Marshfield police went to the home and found a 25-year-old woman who indicated she had been bound and sexually assaulted at gunpoint by Jason Felce. Her baby was in the apartment and was unhurt.

The woman said Felce told her he was going to Cadott to kill himself at his parents' home where he also lived.

As officers were preparing to enter the Cadott home, a neighbor called shortly after noon and said Felce was dead in the basement.
