Vicki Burke and Pablo Ruiz will take over as co-chairs in January. They were chosen in a party election last month.
Fabio Burgos decided not to seek re-election after 2½ years as chair.
“We made great strides in the last election,” Burke said. “We need to support those people.”
Burke has been a La Crosse County supervisor since 2000 and serves on the Mississippi River Regional Planning Commission. She said she’s been active in the party for 18 years.
Ruiz worked on Cheryl Hancock’s 2008 state Assembly campaign.
Both were members of the party’s executive committee.
