The West Salem High School band and wind symphony are hoping to put everyone in the holiday spirit during their winter performance at the Marie W. Heider Center at 4:30 p.m. this Sunday.

Band director Dave Kies said the event will combine the talents of 54 wind symphony members with that of the 65 member concert band for a holiday themed concert.

“Both bands are playing really good music,” he said, adding the music keeps getting better and better every year.

During the free concert, the wind symphony and band will perform a total of 11 pieces including the Star Spangled Banner, All is Calm, Machine Age, Do you hear what I hear, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Sleigh Ride to name just a few.

Kies said the Christmas Finally may also include a special visit from Kris Kringle himself.
