HOLMEN — Sandra J. Beranek, 76, of Holmen passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

She was born Dec. 27, 1940, in La Crosse, to William and Bernice (Foss) Barney. She graduated from Logan High School in 1958. On May 20, 1961, she married Leonard Beranek in La Crosse. She was employed at Soell’s Drug Store until 1965, when she and Len moved to Holmen. She then worked at Northern Engraving before moving to the farm where she was involved in foster care.
