The Heart of La Crosse will put on an evening of improv comedy in West Salem for a good cause.

The rare standalone Heart of La Crosse show starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Marie W. Heider Center for the Arts, 405 E. Hamlin St. The venerable group is well known for improvisational comedy that often pokes fun at area people and institutions.

Two members of Heart of La Crosse, Lisa Olson and Tracy Ballzer, have been tapped as the opening act for comedian and “Manitowoc Minute” creator Charlie Berens on Feb. 16 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Tickets for the show are $15, with proceeds benefitting the West Salem American Legion Building Fund. Tickets are available in advance online at
