Local bluegrass quartet String Ties is back with its annual holiday concert series, with three shows planned at Leo & Leona’s Tavern and Dancehall in rural Bangor and two shows at The Pump House Regional Arts Center in downtown La Crosse.

The band’s holiday concerts have become a tradition, specializing in acoustic music ranging from bluegrass to newgrass. Band members include Larry Dalton on the stand-up bass, Tommy Pfaff on banjo, Wayne Beezley on mandolin and Dan Sebranek on guitar.

Three shows are planned at Leo & Leona’s (7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 8-9, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10) and The Pump House will host 7:30 p.m. shows on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 13-14.

Tickets for the Leo and Leona’s shows are $15. Buying tickets in advance is suggested, and they can be purchased by calling or stopping at Grounded Coffee, 308 Main St. or 608-784-5282, or Leo and Leona’s, W1436 Hwy. 33 or 608-452-3637.
