Kayla Langen.

Kayla Langen is our featured student at Crucifixion Elementary School this week.

Kayla is in sixth grade and her favorite subject in school is English, and she is proud that she maintains good grades.

Two of Kayla’s favorite things at Crucifixion are her teachers and Catholic Schools Week.

“Kayla is a great girl. She always has a smile on her face, and when she learns something new, she will say, ‘interesting.’ She is one of the first students to volunteer to help in the classroom, for lunch duty, to serve at mass, or to help in the school,” said Mrs. Datta, Kayla’s teacher.

Mrs. Datta added that Kayla “gets along well not only with her classmates but also with the younger students, especially her reading buddies. We are lucky she is part of our class.”

Kayla enjoys volleyball, softball, and gymnastics. She considers her sister, Erica, to be a good role model because she is a good student and is responsible. Kayla would like to become a surgeon or doctor for a career. Kayla is the daughter of Jeff Langen and Darcey Langen.
