La Crescent freshman Amanda Iverson was one of five nominees for the Star Tribune’s Minnesota Soccer Hub Player of the Week for Sept. 25-30.

Within five days, Iverson nearly doubled her season goal total after scoring nine goals in three games.

Iverson scored in a 3-2 win over Stewartville, before she broke out for five goals and two assists in a 7-1 win over St. Charles.

Iverson concluded her hot streak with three goals in a 4-0 win over Caledonia, giving her a total of 20 goals this fall.

Iverson received 29 percent of 2180 total votes to finish second in the poll.
