CALEDONIA — Freshman Andy Lopez netted two goals, while sophomore Isaac Peterson and junior Alex Boudreau each tallied a hat trick for the Lancers in the shutout rout over the Warriors.

LA CRESCENT — Senior Maddie Pesch put La Crescent on the board twice early in the first half, as the Lancers rolled to the win over the Warriors. Pesch also recorded an assist, while Harley Furlong, Lola Baudek, Lilly Hackworth, Jayanna Jones and Rachel Ekker all scored goals for La Crescent.

Volleyball

Winona Cotter def. La Crescent 25-12, 25-6, 19-25, 25-18

WINONA — Aside from third set, the Ramblers conquered the Lancers by racking up 12 aces and eight blocks.

LA CRESCENT — Juniors Sam Shimshak and Russell Drye and sophomore Isaac Peterson all scored for La Crescent, which didn’t allow a shot on goal for the second straight match.

PLAINVIEW — After Plainview-Elgin-Millville scored twice to open the match, Amanda Iverson netted a second-half goal off an assist from Lindsey Nelson that cut the deficit in half for the Lancers, but La Crescent was unable to complete the comeback.

Volleyball

La Crescent def. Dover-Eyota 25-17, 25-14, 25-19

LA CRESCENT — The Lancers handled the Eagles in straight sets to notch their first Three Rivers win of the season. Chloe Walton had 10 assists and Maddie Reis tallied eight, while Lexi Newsome recorded eight kills and Jada Reider finished with six kills and three blocks for La Crescent.

Rochester Mayo Invitational

Boys: ROCHESTER — The Lancers, without Camdan Nolop (hamstring) and Cole Fechner (illness), ended up competing without their top three runners when Matt Steiger dropped out with foot pain early in the race. Thomas Lechnir (18:37) and Dane McCormick (19:00) were La Crescent’s only runners to crack the top 100, as the Lancers placed 18th as a team.

Girls: ROCHESTER — Katy Steffes (24:08) and Ashley Muenzenberger (25:23) were the top-finishers for the 22nd-place Lancers.

Football

Rochester Lourdes 38, La Crescent 0

ROCHESTER — The Lancers, looking to break their 12-game losing streak, kept the contest close in the first half, but went into halftime down 17-0 after Lourdes kicker Ben Limburg drilled a 47-yard field goal that supplied the Eagles with plenty of momentum for the second half. Sam Breuer led La Crescent in rushing with 11 touches for 47 yards, while Ty Mallicoat and Zach Todd combined for 151 passing yards and three interceptions.

Monday, Sept. 18

Boys Soccer

La Crescent 3, Coulee Christian 0

WEST SALEM — Andy Lopez was the lone scorer for the Lancers, finishing with a hat trick in their fourth consecutive win. Lopez scored 23 seconds into the match, and again before halftime, before scoring the final insurance goal with 10 minutes left in the match. La Crescent only allowed one shot on goal.
