Black River Falls 7, La Crescent 1 The Tigers came out hot and scored four goals in the first period, which proved to be too big of a defecit for the Lancers to overcome. Alex Boudreau netted the only goal for La Crescent, while Gavin Christianson stayed busy in net with 53 saves.
Boys Basketball La Crescent 49, Dover-Eyota 48 Ben Nelson and Thomas Kisesau both scored double-figures to lead the way as the Lancers edged the Eagles by a point for the victory.
Monday, Jan. 8
Kingsland 61, La Crescent 55 Trailing by nearly 20 going into halftime, La Crescent came back firing in the second half and shot the ball much better. The Lancers battled all the way back to narrow the deficit to single digits, but ultimately fell to the Knights on the road.
Tuesday, Jan. 9
West Salem 8, La Crescent 0 The Panthers opened scoring when Cayden Krause scored off an assist from Jack Gorniak 18 seconds into the game, and they never looked back. Gavin Christianson tallied 25 saves for the Lancers.
La Crescent 62, Southland 50 La Crescent held just a three-point lead with 10 minutes remaining in the second half, but the Lancers quickly pulled away after that to defeat the Rebels in front of a packed crowd at Mac Dahl gymnasium.
Southland 64, La Crescent 49 The Lancers opened the game with a stretch of cold shooting that resulted in a deficit they couldn’t manage to come back from, as they ultimately were defeated by the Rebels in their longest conference road trip of the year.
