WASECA — The Lancers had no answers in their opening game of the Holiday Tournament, as the Bluejays scored three goals in each of the first two periods en route to the shutout. Ryan Booth stayed busy in net for La Crescent, tallying 46 saves in the loss.

BOYS BASKETBALL

La Crescent 59, Dover-Eyota 49

EYOTA — Zach Todd (17), Luke Schwartzhoff (16) and Ben Nelson (14) scored double-figure points to lead the Lancers past the Eagles on the road.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Tomah 63, La Crescent 30

WEST SALEM — Rachel Ekker scored a team-high eight points for the Lancers, as they fell to the Timberwolves in the West Salem Christmas Tournament.

HOCKEY

St. Paul Highland Park 5, La Crescent 1

WASECA — Mason Holzer scored the lone Lancer goal off an assist from Alex Boudreau, as the Scots came out on top in the Holiday Tournament game. Ryan Booth made 35 saves for La Crescent.

Friday, Dec. 29

BOYS BASKETBALL

St. Charles 83, La Crescent 60

ST. CHARLES — Luke Schwartzhoff dropped 20 points, while Ben Nelson scored 11 and Zach Todd added 10, but the Lancers managed to score only 23 points in a sluggish second half to fall to the Fighting Saints on the road.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

La Crescent 58, Logan 36

LA CROSSE — The Lancers had nine different players score in their rout of the Rangers, with Paige McKinnon (17) and Rachel Ekker (16) leading the way.

HOCKEY

Austin 8, La Crescent 2

WASECA — Alex Boudreau and Josh Hackworth notched goals for the Lancers, but La Crescent surrendered four goals in each of the first two periods to fall to Austin in its finale of the Holiday Tournament. Ryan Booth stopped 48 shots for the Lancers in net.
