STEWARTVILLE — Stewartville utilized a 1-3-1 half court defense with a 6’2 player at the top against La Crescent, which gave the Lancers a tough time on the road.

STEWARTVILLE — Sophomore forward Luke Schwartzhoff led the Lancers with 14 points, while Romy Whitford (8), Zach Todd (8) and Ben Nelson (9) all contributed solid points for La Crescent, but the Lancers ultimately lost their second contest in a row.
Spring Grove 65, La Crescent 62
LA CRESCENT — A last second shot that would have tied the game by the Lancers rimmed out in the closing seconds, as Spring Grove scored 27 points off free throws to beat La Crescent at home.
“After the rough game the previous night, we could’ve just given up,” said coach Ryan Niemeier of his team’s performance against Spring Grove. “But they came out to play and made it a close game the entire way.”

LA CROSSE — The Lancers took home first-place hardware after having five wrestlers win individual championships in the invitational. Joey Schreier (106), Bryce Duffy (113), Josh Weigel (126), Colton Jorgenson (182), Clayton Jorgenson (195) earned titles for the Lancers, while Zach Bolyard (220) took second.
La Crescent 3, Southwest Christian
CHASKA — The Lancers scored three third-period goals to earn the weekend road victory. Gavin Christianson finished with 39 saves in the win.

HARMONY — In a matchup dominated by the Lancers, Luke Schwartzhoff tallied a team-high 21 points, while Zach Todd dropped 15 and Bryce Nolop contributed 11.

LA CRESCENT — After La Crescent tied the game in regulation with two free throws, the Lancers put the Falcons away in the overtime period, outscoring their opponent 9-2. Senior Rachel Ekker scored a team-high 16 points, while freshman Kiley McQuin contributed 10.
