Priscilla A. Johnson, 84, died peacefully Feb. 2, 2018, at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls, surrounded by family.
She was born at St. Mary’s hospital in Sparta, July 19, 1933, to Frank and Mabel (Christopherson) Sholes. She was raised on the family farm in Melrose, baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church and graduated from Melrose High School in 1951. She married Roger D. Johnson of Black River Falls, Aug. 18, 1951.
Priscilla loved to dance, sing, fish and work puzzles. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and caring for children.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Koenig of Fond du Lac, Wis.; three sons, David, Douglas and Michael (Deb) Johnson of Black River Falls; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Travis, Megan, Eric, Casie, MacKenzie and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Morgan, Madalyn; three sisters, Betty Milde, Bonnie (Dean) Allison and Janice Kuseybi; and brothers-in-law, Bruce (Laurna) Johnson of Hudson and Fred (Dixie) Johnson of Warrens.
In addition to her parents, Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Roger; daughter, Vicky; four brothers, Richard, Robert (infant), Gale and LaVerne Sholes; two sisters, Alice Ohlson and Florence Strong; father and mother-in-law, Helmer and Olga (Olson) Johnson; brother-in-law, Duane; and sister-in-law, Joann Carole (infant).
A private family service will be held at a later date. Buswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
