Join the UW-Extension for a workshop designed to help you identify which grants or other financial options might be right for you.

This workshop will address ways to plan your project and strengthen your application. This workshop is designed to give farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs information, tools and hands-on training to strengthen grant and loan applications.

This workshop will help you create a competitive application and get the financial resources you need to fuel your business.

The seminar is being held Thursday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jackson County UW-Extension office.

The 2017 workshop agenda includes: designing a sound project, identifying funding sources and grant-writing basics, perspective from a grant recipient: “How I applied for and used a grant in my agriculture business,” grant programs, highlight panel (USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant, USDA Value Added Producer Grant, USDA SARE Farmer-Rancher Grant), hands-on grant proposal evaluation and development review and evaluate an actual proposal, and review of additional financial options and networking with grant agencies.

Registration fee of $15 is required by Oct. 10, which covers the cost of lunch, refreshments and program materials. To register, contact the Jackson County UW-Extension office at 715-284-4257 or trisha.wagner@ces.uwex.edu
