A Black River Falls man is facing domestic abuse charges after assaulting his ex-girlfriend after a night of drinking.

Demetrius B. Marion, 29, hit his ex-girlfriend multiple times and physically abused her.

The woman told officers she had a history of domestic abuse with Marion, but was letting him stay at her house.

On the night of the incident, Marion was making unwanted sexual advances on the woman which she turned down.

When rejected she said Marion got upset and was confrontational, after which she left to her bedroom as Marion continued drinking.

Later in the night, he entered the room and hit the woman twice, once in the arm and leg.

Throughout the night the woman said Marion continued to badger her about nonsense and when she tried to look away from him, he grabbed and squeezed her face causing her whole face to hurt.

After leaving the home, eventually he tried to return through the window since he did not have a key to the house. Marion fled when the woman noticed him trying to break in and that’s when she called police.

Marion faces misdemeanor battery-domestic abuse and disorderly conduct-domestic abuse charges, but because he is a repeat offender, he could face more prison time and those charges could become felonies.
