Caregivers are invited to the Caregiver Support Group gathering on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the BRF Public Library and meet with Sharlene Bellefeuille, community outreach specialist, from the Alzheimer’s Association.
Sharlene is going to join in a conversation on how caregivers can take care of themselves when their care receiver has memory challenges.
Many people face memory challenges, whether it is a side effect of a disease or a diagnosis of dementia or related disease.
Caregivers cannot change the health situation but they can choose how they respond to decrease the anxiousness for themselves. Sharlene will help identify strategies for caregivers.
The Caregiver Support Group meets on the first and third Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the BRF Public Library.
No registration or cost. Please come as often as you choose. For more information, contact the Jackson County UW-Extension Office at 715-284-4257.
