Deanna Lisota is looking forward to retiring from The Consignment Shop & More, which she expects to close by April 15 at 118 Main St. in downtown Black River Falls.

“I’m 74 and ready to retire,” she said Tuesday. She owns the consignment business, which she opened in April 2005. She and her husband, Donn Lisota, own the building and are selling it to Danyal Durman.

Lisota said she has had a “for sale” sign in her store’s window for about three years.

The Consignment Shop & More sells items such as furniture, clothing, jewelry, household goods, books and gifts. Lisota started a store-closing sale on March 14, the day after she and her husband accepted Durman’s offer for the building.

Although she is happy to be retiring, Lisota said “It’s been the best of the best for us for these past 13 years.” She added she wants to thank her consignors and customers for their support over the years.
