The following was reported by the Black River Falls Police Department:

Feb. 4

3:30 a.m.: A 25-year-old La Farge woman reported her wallet missing after losing it in the Walmart parking lot.

11:55 a.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on Main Street near Sixth Street. John A. Matalas, 69, Ettrick, was pulling out from S. Sixth Street onto Main Street in a  miniature Black River Falls School District bus when he struck a westbound Saturn vehicle on Main Street operated by Rebecca P. Scholze, 29, Humbird. Matalas reported he didn’t see Scholze’s vehicle when he pulled onto Main Street. Scholze was taken by private vehicle to a hospital for treatment. Matalas was cited for failure to yield to the right-of-way.

1:30 p.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on S. Water Street near Main Street. David K. Emerson, 66, Black River Falls, reportedly backed into a parked vehicle operated by Joy M. Littlejohn, 33, Port Edwards, that was parked next to Jackson County Bank. Emerson was cited for unsafe backing. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

1:40 p.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on Main Street near Winnebago Avenue. Vicki L. Wedam, 45, Mindoro, was stopped on Winnebago Street and then attempted to cross Highway 54 when she didn’t see an eastbound vehicle on Highway 54 operated by David A. Atkinson, 50, Black River Falls, causing the two to collide. Wedam was cited for failure to yield to the right-of-way.

2:10 p.m.: Edward J. Billyard, 51, Black River Falls, was arrested after reportedly stealing medicine from Walmart.

11:52 p.m.: A vehicle owned by Nicholas J. Hanson, 24, Black River Falls, was cited for a winter parking violation after parking on the 400 block of Chestnut Street.

Feb. 5

9 a.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on N. Water Street near Harrison Street. Peter W. Schmidt, 57, Black River Falls, reportedly slowed to turn left when he was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by David L. Henthorn, 57, Fairchild.

6:41 p.m.: A vehicle owned by Mark E. Vondell, 56, Black River Falls, was cited for a parking violation after parking in a fire lane at Walmart.

6:50 p.m.: A vehicle owned by Robert G. Mathews, 64, Hixton, was cited for a parking violation after parking in a handicapped stall at Jackson County Fair Park.

Feb. 6

9:20 a.m.: Jeremy A. Clark, 20, Black River Falls, was arrested on a probation hold and transported to jail.

2:17 p.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on Water Street near Harrison Street. Nicole L. Bue, 28, Black River Falls, was traveling on Water Street when a vehicle operated by Barbara E. Blumenberg, 61, Merrillan, pulled out in front of her, causing the vehicles to collide.

4 p.m.: Nicole Charneski, 37, Black River Falls, was arrested on a probation hold and transported to jail.

Feb. 7

2:48 p.m.: A vehicle owned by Scott T. Acor, 19, Black River Falls, was cited for a parking violation after parking on N. Third Street near Jackson Street.

Feb. 8

9:50 a.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on Main Street near S. Second Street. Mark D. Hoffman, 44, Black River Falls, slowed for a pedestrian in a crosswalk when he was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by Casie R. Lamorie, 32, Black River Falls, that couldn’t stop due to road conditions.

Feb. 11

2:20 a.m.: A vehicle owned by Jamie L. Randals, 25, Black River Falls, was cited for a parking violation after parking on Main Street near S. First Street.

2:51 a.m.: A vehicle owned by Lessie A. Nerby, 30, Ettrick, was cited for a parking violation after parking on Main Street near S. Second Street.
