The following was reported by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department:

Dec. 20

7:45 a.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 54 near Sunnyvale Road in the town of Irving. Stephanie J. Johnson, 39, Mindoro, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when she began sliding on the snow-covered road, entered the ditch and rolled. Johnson was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained severe damage.

4:10 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 10 near Bramer Road in the town of Cleveland. Vincent T. Barney, 21, Fairchild, was operating a 2004 Pontiac vehicle westbound when he lost control on a curve, crossed the centerline and struck a guardrail. Barney was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.

Dec. 21

6:18 a.m.: Jodi M. Hammond, 28, Osseo, reported striking a deer with a 2007 Volkswagen Passat on Highway 10 near Bramer Road in the town of Cleveland. The vehicle sustained severe damage.

10:25 a.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on Highway A near N. Eighth Street in the town of Adams. Freeman L. Bearfield, 51, Hixton, was operating a 1991 Buick Century northbound when a southbound 2003 Ford Taurus operated by Richard O. Fries, 81, Merrillan, turned in front of him to enter a parking lot, causing the two to collide. Fries was cited for a lane violation. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

3:30 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Roaring Creek Road near Highway 54 in the town of Irving. Makayla A. Clements, 16, Mindoro, was operating a 2007 Pontiac G6 when she lost control on the icy road and struck a concrete bridge rail and reflective sign. Clements was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained very severe damage and was towed.

7:22 p.m.: Laurie L. Evenson, 51, La Crescent, Minn., reported striking a deer with a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe on Highway 27 near Hawk Island Road in the town of Brockway. The vehicle sustained severe damage.

Dec. 23

2:40 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Park Avenue near E. Third Street in the town of Brockway. Taylor A. Nichols, 18, Black River Falls, was operating a 1998 Ford Ranger when he lost control on the snow-covered road and struck multiple mailboxes. Nichols was uninjured.  The vehicle sustained minor damage.

5:50 p.m.: Michael J. Ivacic, 22, Loyal, reported striking a deer on Highway 27 near Pamela Street in the town of Brockway. No vehicle information was reported.

Dec. 24

7:20 p.m.: Lu Ann Aschenbrenner, 58, Black River Falls, reported striking a deer on Highway 54 near Highway C in the town of Albion. No vehicle information was reported.

11:10 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on N. Lincoln Road near James Road in the town of Curran. Jillian E. Purdy, 27, Independence, was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt southbound when she lost control on ice, entered the ditch and overturned. Purdy was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed.

Dec. 25

11:27 a.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Alma Center Road near East Town House Road in the town of Alma. Alexandra M. Warrichaiet, 20, Black River Falls, was operating a 1995 Dodge vehicle southbound when she lost control on a curve, spun and entered the ditch. Warrichaiet was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

9:45 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway G near Green Acre Road in the town of Curran. Darrel G. Kersting, 19, Alma Center, was operating a 2003 Mitsubishi Diama southbound when he lost control on a curve, entered the ditch and overturned. Kersting was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed.

Dec. 26

1 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway F near Nash Road in the town of Adams. Kaitlyn M. Kaas, 16, Alma Center, was operating a 2001 Chrysler vehicle eastbound when she drifted off the road and struck a traffic sign after attempting to pick an item up off the floor board that had fallen. Kaas was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained minor damage. Kaas was cited for failure to provide immediate notice of an accident.

Dec. 28

6:18 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 95 near Highway K in the village of Merrillan. Rex A. Sanders, 38, Humbird, was operating a 2000 Ford Taurus westbound when he lost control in snowy conditions and spun into a gravel parking area. Sanders was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained minor damage. Sanders was cited for failure to have insurance.

6:20 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 95 near Highway K in the village of Merrillan. Samantha M. Jansen, 22, Sparta, was operating a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound, lost control during snowy conditions, spun and stopped in a snow bank.  Jansen was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle didn’t sustain damage.

Jan. 1

2 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway A near Highway F in the town of Adams. Jackson T. Perry, 16, Black River Falls, was operating a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville southbound when it left the road and collided with a traffic sign pole in the ditch. Perry was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. Perry was cited for inattentive driving.

Jan. 3

7:15 a.m.: Gina L. Barton, 44, Black River Falls, reported striking a deer with a 2009 Dodge Charger on Highway 27 near Fallhall Road in the town of Manchester. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
