Midwest Hydraulic Company and Black River Partners will begin the temporary draw down of Lake Arbutus Sept. 5.
The draw down is being performed to allow crews to work on repairs below the spillway.
Starting on Sept. 5, the lake will be drawn down at a rate of half a foot per day for a total of five-and-a-half feet, and is expected to be completed on Sept. 15.
Lake Arbutus will drop from 882.5 feet to 877 feet during the duration of the repairs.
Ideally the lake is estimated to be refilled in the spring of 2019 depending on the repairs and Black River inflows.
