Every once in a while it’s good to stop and do a little maintenance and get a bit of a makeover, which is exactly what the Miss Jackson County court is looking to do with their float.

No major repairs are needed, but Cassie Olson, the coordinator, said it’s been about 10 years since any fixes have been done.

“It’s mostly cosmetic fixes like some of the foil and carpet,” Olson said.

The total cost of the fixes she said will be around $2,000 and they are already half-way there after a $1,000 donation from the rotary club.

To raise the rest of the money, the court will be selling T-shirts for $15 that have the outline of Jackson County with “Home” written in the middle.

The shirts are available for purchase through members of the court or Olson herself at 715-896-4526.
