BRF/Mel-Min soccer goes 1-1

BRF’s Reese Vold races to take possession of the ball before Altoona’s Colin John Watson during the first half of last week’s contest. BRF won 5-3.

The Black River Falls/Melrose-Mindoro co-op soccer team would start out their last strings of games against Altoona, coming away with a 5-3 victory.

The Tigers would score first via a header scored by Mike Bronsdon off a Dawson Vase cross. Bronsdon would get the second goal as well as he tapped in a Reese Vold cross.

The third goal was scored by Vase with a low drive to the left of the Altoona keeper.

Matt Collins would score the fourth goal for the Tigers from close range.

The fifth goal was scored by Vold, assisted by Ty Bresee.

The Black River Falls/Melrose-Mindoro co-op soccer team would next travel to Coulee Christian Monday in West Salem, losing by a score of 4-2.

Matt Collins scored the game’s first goal with an assist by Ryan Dobson. Reese Vold scored the second point via a header off a Dawson Vase cross to make it 3-2.
