The Black River Falls/Melrose-Mindoro co-op soccer team drew 2-2 with Coulee Christian of West Salem in a very hard fought match last Friday.

Coulee Christian scored the first goal of the game midway through the first half.

The Tigers leveled the score before halftime when a Ryan Dobson cross was headed in by Dawson Vase.

In the second half, Coulee Christian once again took the lead off a driven shot that went in off the post.

The Tigers then took control of play, creating several chances in an attempt to level the score.

With a minute left in the match, the Tigers threw nine of their 11 players forward for a corner kick. Dawson Vase took the corner which was then headed into the Coulee Christian goal by Matt Collins.

The Black River Falls/Melrose-Mindoro co-op team lost at home to Nekoosa Monday night with a final score of 1-2.

The Tigers only goal was scored by Reese Vold, who picked up the ball on the right side of the field, flew past a defender and drove a low, hard shot past the Nekoosa keeper.
