The Hornets faced off at home last Thursday against Stanley-Boyd in a non-conference match-up, coming away with a 65-53 loss.

The Hornets ended the first half only down by two points, but Stanley-Boyd came out ready to play in the second half outscoring the Hornets 37-27.

McKena Zimbauer led the Hornets on the scoreboard with 16 points, including having a 3-of-6 night from beyond the arc.

Cassidy Huber chipped in 10 points, while Madison Shramek had nine points.

Stanley-Boyd’s Tahlia Walton unleashed a scoring barrage on the Hornets with 31 points.

The Hornets ended the night with 31 rebounds, led by Shramek with seven and Huber with five.

The Hornets are now 5-5 overall and remain 1-5 in the Large Dairyland Conference.
