Hornets get lopsided victories against Tigers and Norse

McKenna Zimbauer flies high for a layup in Lincoln's lopsided 69-16 win over Whitehall last Friday.

After a tough two-game stretch for the Hornets, they matched up against the Whitehall Norse last Friday coming away with an impressive 69-16 win.

Madison Shramek led the scoring for the Hornets with 13 points including shooting 6-of-9 from the floor.

Paige Sheffer followed closely behind with 12 points on a 50 percent shooting night.

The Hornets had a total of 13 players score points in the game.

Cassidy Huber led the rebounding category with six, while McKenna Zimbauer and Shramek both had three steals.

The Hornets next welcomed the Tigers in another lopsided 61-25 victory for Lincoln Tuesday.

Natalie Fischer led all scorers with 14 points in the game on 5-of-10 shooting for the Hornets.

Huber chipped in 12 points for the Hornets behind 4-of-9 shooting and 50 percent beyond the arc. Shramek added 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting including making a 3-pointer.

For the Tigers, Asia Rave led the scoring with eight points followed by Abby Ross with six.

The Hornets had 33 rebounds led by Fischer with six, while holding the Tigers to 13. Miyako Deloney had six of her own rebounds for the Tigers.

Huber would be a ball hawk on the night coming away with five steals.

The Hornets are now 5-4 overall and 1-4 in the Large Dairyland Conference. The Tigers are now 0-9.
