The Mauston Golden Eagles made a trip to the Fieldhouse last Friday where spectators were treated to a high-scoring affair that saw the Tigers come away with a 101-98 win.

The Tigers scored 49 points in the first half, out-pacing the Golden Eagle’s 41 points. The Golden Eagles would make a run to come back in the second half as they racked up 57 points on the Tiger defense. The Tigers held strong though, scoring 52 points of their own to get the win.

Ethan Anderson scored 30 points in the win including making the last 10 of his free throws to clinch the game.

Several other Tiger players had breakout performances including Elliott Bird as he scored 24 points, including being laser focused beyond the 3-point line tallying five baskets there. Bird led the scoring for the Tigers in the first half with 13 points.

Bryce Seiber chipped in 16 points, while Jacob Woods netted 15.

Mauston’s Joe Bauer scorched the Tiger defense for 36 points including five 3-pointers.

The Tigers are now 5-4 overall and remain 2-1 in the Coulee Conference.
