GREEN BAY, Wis. — Germaine Agnes Hundt, 97, Green Bay died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.

She was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Neopit, Wis., to August and Stella (Rentmeester) Maes.

Germaine grew up in Green Bay. She graduated from Green Bay West High School, class of 1938. On Feb. 8, 1945, she married Edward Hundt at Annunciation Catholic Church and later moved to Spartanberg, S.C., where Edward was stationed in the Army. In February 1946, they returned to Green Bay. Together they traveled all over the U.S., Canada and Mexico. She was an avid Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan.

When her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were in activities, she attended all of their events. Germaine enjoyed knitting and doing crossword puzzles and having a good cup of tea.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sue Hundt, Suamico; grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Rhoades, Jason (Orlean Roerdink) Hundt, Maggie Hundt, Jody Minor, Brian Hundt; great-grandchildren, Amber, Jacob, Mitchell, Emily, Maxwell, Raven, Jada, Mason, Gavin, Blake, Gabrielle, Asia; a brother, Eugene “Bud” Maes; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Steve; her parents; and her brothers and sisters, William, Lorraine, Marcella, Ernest, Earl, Pearl and Delores.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay, followed by the memorial service at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Brendan Wroblewski, O.F.M., officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
