ONALASKA — James Albert Trussoni, 92, of Onalaska died Monday, March 5, 2018, at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center.
He was born March 23, 1925, in Genoa, the youngest son of 18 children, to John and Martina (Gilardi) Trussoni. Jim was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 792, in Rockford, Ill. Jim was a successful entrepreneur and real estate developer, who went from carpentry to real estate development with several offices in the Rock River Valley area in Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; seven children, Larry (Jennifer) Anderson, Steven (Susan) Trussoni, Kathleen (Brian) Beggerow, Douglas Trussoni, Julie Trussoni, Jill (James) Hendle and Mark (Shelley) Trussoni; many beloved grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Alberta Clark and Sister Drucilla Trussoni. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Trussoni; and three sons, Kenneth, James and Charles Trussoni.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. The Rev. John Parr will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and again form 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
