ONALASKA — Jo Ann Elizabeth Kennedy, 86, of Onalaska passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at OnaTerrace.
She was born in Cashton, April 10, 1931, to Charles and Elizabeth (Brueggmann) Dwyer. She later married Lloyd Kennedy and he preceded her in death.
Joann loved to crotchet, play Farkle, pinochle and dominoes. She also enjoyed reading and dancing. She was a lover of the water and loved to go canoeing and be on the water in any kind of boat. Joann also had a wicked sense of humor. Her laughter and smile never abandoned her, even right up until the end. Above all else she loved her family and spending time with them was her greatest treasure.
She is survived her children, Becky Lou Rastall, Nancy (David) Rudrud, Lloyd Jr. (Janet) Kennedy, Randy (Becky) Kennedy, Steve (Joan) Kennedy, and Barb Kennedy. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Barb Jackson; and a brother, John (Amy) Dwyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Curt; her parents; grandson, James Michael; two sisters, Geraldine and Janice; two brothers, Jim and Joe; and a son-in-law, Ben Rastall.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1931 Loomis St., La Crosse. The Reverend Anne M. Hokenstad will officiate and burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the church.
