COCHRANE, Wis. — Mary Ann Kubis, 71, of Cochrane, died on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.
Mary Ann was born on Oct. 10, 1941, in Whitehall, Wis., to Robert and Jennie (Konsalla) Pogreba. She married Roger Kubis on April 30, 1960, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence.
Mary Ann was a home maker and worked as a Regional Manager for Kwik Trip in Wisconsin. She was an avid gardener, loved to travel, going to the casinos, spending time with her family, being on the river, and camping on the Mississippi.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Roger of Cochrane; one daughter, Shelley (David) Collins of Blair; three sons, Kevin (Tammy) Kubis of Blair, Scott (Ginny) Kubis of Fountain City, Bradley (Lorene) Kubis of Fountain City; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy (Ronald) Edmundson of Florida, Rita (Steve) Mc Donald of Hudson, Barbara (John) Pasala of Florida, Ann (Dennis) Matchey of Alma; five brothers, Gene (Pat) Pogreba of Illinois, Jim (Julie) Pogreba of North Dakota, Steve (Jeanette) Pogreba of Independence, Danny (Gina) Pogreba of Ettrick, Alan (Shawn) Pogreba of Whitehall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Michael and Richard.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia, with Monsignor Tom Hargesheimer officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in rural Arcadia.
