GAYS MILLS — Patricia L. Dobson, 81, passed away Sunday, Jan, 23, 2011, at Sannes Skogdalen Nursing Home in Soldiers Grove.
She was born in Crawford County on Jan. 22, 1930, the daughter of Arthur and Mildred (Jones) Martin. Pat lived her whole life in Gays Mills.
On June 25, 1949, she married Gerald “Red” Dobon and together they had four sons. She was a loving mother and grandmother, always proud to show off pictures of her grandchildren to anyone who would look.
She is survived by three sons, David (Vicki) Dobson of Holmen and their children, Greg, Will, Joe and Don; Mike Dobson of Prairie du Chien and his daughter, Melody; and Terry Dobson (special friend Pam Rodgers) of Dodgeville, Wis.; two brothers, Victor Martin of Greenfield, Wis., and Maurice (Mary Ellen) Martin of Janesville, Wis.; and sisters-in-law, Marsha Martin and Florence Dobson; both of Janesville. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Red, on Oct. 1, 2008, her infant son, Randy Dean; a brother, Dale Martin; and by 13 brothers and sisters-in-law.
Pat wished to thank all of her wonderful friends and neighbors who helped feed her cats when she couldn’t, delivered her meals and took her to run her errands. A very special thank you to Florence Clark, Bev Gainor, Sharon Chellevold and Marjie Jurgensen for all the help and love you gave our mother. You were all such great friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Dommersnaes-Bertram Family Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Pastor Lori Betz of Gays Mills United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Gays Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
