TOMAH — Hospice Touch of Tomah Memorial Hospital will sponsor a free, six-week grief support and series to help people who have lost a family member or friend on Tuesdays from March 13 to April 17.

Two separate sessions will take place — one from 9 to 11 a.m. and another from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hospice/Palliative Care offices at 601 Straw St. Participants can choose either the morning or the afternoon times.

The series, titled "The Journey Through Grief," will define grief and show people how to cope with it, said Debbie Warthan, Hospice Touch’s spiritual care and bereavement coordinator.

“It helps to know that you’re not alone, that other people are feeling and thinking the same way that you are,” Warthan said. “We understand that it takes courage to come and we want to let people know that they can participate in whatever level they are comfortable with.”

Participants are asked to register by calling Hospice Touch in Tomah at 608-374-0250 by March 1.

Hospice employees are truly amazing people—“angelic” indeed.
