The accident was right in the middle of both intersections. It started with a driver heading south (possibly) fell asleep. Uncertain at this time. He than crossed over median and crashed into more vehicles. In this case it was not congestion. I was there..Caused by one 21 year old male inattentive driving.

Exactly where and when, I wonder? Hard to imagine “night” traffic after 7pm would be “snarled” unless it happened very close to a major intersection. If so, then which of the 2 CTH B intersections?

Yes, Trib, there are ‘two’ B/16 intersections ¾ mile apart along 16. Officially, B runs concurrent with Gillette and 16, and Gillette does not intersect with 16.

I think what the Trib means is that it happened somewhere between Gillette and B/16 “north” intersection and most likely during tail end of rush hour traffic, around 6 or 6:30pm….and the intersection or congestion were not contributing factors. But I'm not certain.
