Connie Arzigian of the UW-La Crosse Archaeology Department visits with people at the annual Artifact Show at Valley View Mall. This year’s show is Saturday, March 3.

People can see artifacts representing the area’s long history during the annual Archaeology Artifact Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Valley View Mall.

Local collectors will display their personal collections, and Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center staff will bring artifacts recovered from local excavations. Archaeologists will be available to answer questions. Attendees are invited to bring artifacts they would like help identifying. Call MVAC at 608-785-8454 or email jdowiasch@uwlax.edu to display artifacts.

If I go to this event, will I be considered an ancient artifact myself, or am I too old to be of interest or value to any local collection?
