Three roommates fined $26,557 for hosting a Labor Day weekend party that allowed underage drinking will end up paying less than $8,000.
The three - Lyndon Morris, 20; Cole Rines, 19; and
Dylan Stoffregen, 20; all of 909 Vine St. - each were fined $6,960 for serving alcohol to 24 minors and $1,613 for selling alcohol without a license during a Sept. 4 party at their house, according to La Crosse police.
Rines and Stoffregen also earned $227 citations for underage drinking, while Morris' ticket reached $384.
Morris pleaded no contest Wednesday in La Crosse Municipal Court to a reduced charge of furnishing alcohol to 15 minors, underage drinking and selling without a license and was fined $6,347.50, according to the court office.
Rines and Stoffregen each pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of furnishing alcohol to two minors and underage drinking and ordered to pay $807 each. Their citations for selling without a license were dismissed.
