Vernon County authorities need the public’s help finding two La Crosse minors wanted for breaking into cars and vehicle theft.

The teens tried to break into several cars in De Soto near Mill Park Drive about 11:50 a.m. Monday after crashing a car stolen from La Crosse near the Pronto Gas Station in De Soto, according to the sheriff’s department.

While deputies were trying to find the teens, they stole a car parked at the De Soto post office at about noon. A caller reported seeing two young males walking north on Hwy. 35 south of Genoa, where the stolen car was found.

Authorities are asking anyone who gave the teens a ride from Hwy. 35 to La Crosse between noon and 2 pm. Monday to call the sheriff’s office at 608-637-2123.
